PROGRAMS THAT INFORM, ENTERTAIN, AND CONNECT.
WHO WE ARE
The Georgia Radio Reading Service, or GaRRS for short, is Georgia’s premier provider of information for individuals who are visually-impaired or otherwise print-impaired. Every month, we broadcast and stream hundreds of programs including local and national newspapers, books, magazines, events, employment opportunities, and shopping ads. We invite you to access our expansive program library or sign up to listen to our live broadcast.
Listen using an app
If you have a smartphone, tablet, or other smart device, the GaRRS live feed is available through the TuneIn app (available on Apple, Android, and Windows devices) or the Sero app, which was formerly the iBlink app (available on Apple and Android devices). Once you've downloaded the app of your choice, you can search for GaRRS and listen to the live broadcast. If you have Amazon Alexa or Echo, you can also listen to the webstream with the command, "Alexa, play G-A-R-R-S on TuneIn."
Listen using a radio receiver
If you would like to listen over the radio, you can request a special GaRRS radio that will allow you to listen to the live broadcast. To receive a radio, you can fill out our form online or print it out and send it to us by email, fax, or mail. To check the coverage in your area, review our radio broadcast coverage areas.
Our dedicated volunteers make our work possible. Every month, hundreds of volunteers are recorded as they read the printed materials that we broadcast all over the state. If you would like to help us inform and entertain thousands of Georgia residents, submit your application to volunteer with GaRRS.
Your tax-deductible donation improves the quality of life of thousands of listeners. Help us as we connect the visually-impaired with their community through employment resources, information, events, and news.
