Our guest is Rich Crawford, who lost his sight at the age of 10 and went on to have a lifetime of adventure and success. The 73-year-old Sioux City retired financial planner was involved in sports during high school and college, earned a bachelor’s degree, an MBA and master’s in business education while working part-time jobs. He was Executive Director of the Woodbury County Community Action Agency in Sioux City, IA and was active in the NFB. He was one of three Commissioners overseeing programs for the blind in Iowa and was chosen as the Handicapped Iowan of the Year in 1986. He has been active in Lions Club, Kiwanis and Rotary, and has served on the board of directors of the Siouxland Boys Club, March of Dimes, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
